So right, he's not far left just traditional labour. Don't fall for the tory tabloid rhetoric, greed is not good. Labour has to look at what happened in scotland; they voted to stay in the UK, and then voted in their droves for the SNP, not because they suddenly changed their minds about independance, but because they finally had someone to vote for who espoused socialist values.

There are plenty of people in england who feel the same way and Corbyn is the only labour leader candidate who isn't sprouting the same old Blairite bollocks of trying appeal to everyone by saying nothing concrete. If you say nothing concrete, you have nothing concrete and your values are then suspect.

The Rt wing media control the press and the lingua franca. The use terms like 'far left' to control minds. The norm is commerical capitalism that does nothing for anyone who isn't rich. How times have changed since the 70s. The middle ground is private capital. The UK needs a Greek revolution. It is not a matter of left or right but fair.

Suddenly I like ROS a bit more. The Labour party since Blair has been only marginally centre left, in other words, not really a Labour party at all. Which has left the majority of the people in this country without a true voice to represent them in government. The Conservative approach of destroying core values while claiming to be saving them is nothing short of media driven brainwashing. You only have to ask yourselves one question when deciding on the root of any policy: beneath all the rhetoric, who really benefits?

Could you elaborate please? I see no reason renationalising the railways wouldn't work, and I don't know enough about economics to know whether quantitative easing for house-bulding etc would work, but if it could be done for bailing out the banks, why not?

Burnham and the others have shown their true colours with the welfare bill, Burnham even saying "I wanted to vote against but Yvette wouldn't let me, so I sat idly by instead" Disgraceful behaviour from an elected representative.
