If Corbyn becomes the Labour leader there'll be a Tory government for the next 10+ yrs.

There will be a tory govt for a decade whoever labour elect, probably closer to two. 5 years of cameron and 10 of Osbourne. Say what you like about them but they have played a blinder since the election, Gideon in particular.

As for ronnie, i bet he'd LOVE to pay 60% tax! He wants corbyn because he knows his taxes will be low for the next decade or so, because Corbyn is entirely unelectable.

Whatever happens as a result of this campaign, the terror it's instilled in all these pundits, journalists and professional politicians who swear the only way to win an election is via the centre ground and no strong beliefs in anything has been absolutely priceless.

And the fact that Tony Blair and Alastair Campbell have both come out and said "Listen to me, don't vote for Corbyn" - two of the most toxic people in the Labour Party saying "Do what we did!"

Having two centre parties thanks to the Blair Labour rebirth is not giving the people a choice. Unfortunately, I feel we have gone way too far down that path to be able to rewind anything major. The working class of this country were sold 'aspiration' by Thatcher, and later Blair, and went with it thinking they could shift upwards and have a better life. Not so. All that did was rip the roots from under them. The class system is currently alive and well and thriving in this country, with all the damage and oppression that has wrought for centuries.

Compared to the likes of Cameron and Blair, I think Corbyn is a lot more like the average Joe. But it doesn't have to be about "the working class" in the sense of downtrodden miners and mill workers, just representing the interests of ordinary working people on average salaries and below.

Personally, I'm sick of hearing about "hardworking families" for the past 20 years - I want a budget for single slackers.

A prime example of how completely out of touch the political class and certain sections of the media was recently on Any Questions on Radio 4. Discussing Corbyn, the woman on the panel said "Anyway, the world is a different place now to how things were in the 70s or 80s. We as employers care a lot about our staff and go to great lengths and great expense to do everything we can to make them feel welcome." - that bears no resemblance to most of the places I've worked.
