  • FA Cup Final - Chelsea V Man Utd

    Hi guys,

........and only just got a chance to log in again, and will any of you be watching the Cup Final later? ....3pm on BBC1, or are you going to Wembley?....[exciting can't wait..]

........just read part of Alex Ferguson's press statement and he fears losing another cup final on penalties. "You know my record with penalties, diabolical I think you'd say. We just have to hope it does not get to that stage."

Both great teams, so should be a great match, and hope it doesn't come down to penalties. And won't offer any thoughts on final score though, always get it wrong....

    What do you think?

    Lol...xx

I went to Wembley last Saturday for the FA Trophy Final, it was amazing. Can't wait to go again when there is a 90,000 sell out.

I heard Fergie's comments about penalties, I hope United have been practising because I think that's the only way they can win today.

Hopefully, it will be as good as last year but I can't see that happening.

Good luck to all you Chelsea and United fans.

    PS. Come on Liverpool.

      Hi Pat,

......great that you've already been to Wembley for FA trophy final, and I've heard the same reports, amazing, brilliant, v.brilliant...

And always admired Fergie, good manger, plain speaking, tells it how it is, and not easy always being in the spotlight either.....

And Jose too, what can I say, he certainly livens things up, and always has an opinion as well, can't be easy....

........I second that too, good luck to all fans, and can't wait to watch..

      Lol...xx

P.S. And don't suppose you know what Kenny Dalgleish is doing now?

its always a lot of hype but those matches are often boring. I wonder whether they have repaired the roof damage. It was leaking last week enormously as some footage was shown on BBC news London. Buckets of water coming down on the spectators who had to be moved. I am visiting Wembley stadium the 17th of june, not football. LIVE MUSIC!!!!

          Hi Paul,

              Hi Paul,

.........always liked Schmeichel, , and as it's FA cup final day, a 'Feeling Good' song from the guys at Muse....

              "It's a new dawn
              It's a new day
              It's a new life.....de de de.."

....and no predictions from me on the match, always get the score wrong..

                Hi guys,

                .........and just a quick log-in during half-time.. 0 - 0.

Interesting first half, 2 good trys from Rooney, although both offside, and further attempt with Ronaldo, but confusion with who was on, and possible offside. Separate effort from Scholes to Ronaldo, good try.

Chelsea effort from Drogba, but just over right post, and two good shots from Lampard, one low ball, one high, again just over. Another good try from Sean Wright-Phillips, over the top again.

Favourite comments from the commentators, first in relation to the match being boring, and the second with regard to the pitch.

John Motson - "the first half is so boring it's even a good advert for the cricket season."....

Mark Lawrenson - "£800 million and we can't grow grass."

New 4-5-1 format may have something to do with it, and think [not sure though ] 4-4-2 was previous format..

...and can't wait for 2nd half now...

                Lol........xx

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWNNN, Just woke up. Nothing new there about the grass. These big stadiums with roofing dont allow enough light and air circulation for the turf to grow and settle. Since 1996 Ajax have moved to a new arena, movable roof etc. they have changed the turf around 123 times!!
