The Alan Kerins African Project are delighted to announce details of the Celtic Challenge 2007 - a soccer match which will raise €250,000 for the people of Zambia.
The match will take place at Celtic Park, home to one of Europe's biggest and most successful clubs, Glasgow Celtic F.C. on May 30th 2007 as two teams, captained by well known football greats Hector Ó hEochagáin and Tommy Tiernan battle it out at the famous Scottish venue.
A host of celebrities will also participate in the match, including former Irish internationals John Giles and Ray Houghton, ex-English international and Everton football great Trevor Steven, former Celtic and Scottish stars Jackie McNamara and Darren Jackson, former Irish rugby player Michael Kiernan, GAA legends DJ Carey, Billy Morgan, Greg McCartan and Sean Og de Paor alongside two former World Snooker champions Ken Doherty and John Higgins.
