  • Well I just finished my match with RaNeN.

It was a very high quality match as RaNeN took the first two frames with very good clearances. However the next two frames saw identical outcomes. Without a ball being potted RaNeN knocked the black in as I clawed back to 2-2. RaNeN took the next to make it 3-2 but after a crucial miss on my final ball saw RaNeN swoop in to take a two frame lead again. Again in frame 7 RaNeN was looking set to clinch the win before a great clearance of 5 balls from me made it 4-3 and game on again. However in a very tense final frame I missed two brillaint chances before fouling to let RaNeN in to win 5-3.

    • G'day all,

I regret to inform you I will be withdrawing from the league due to personal reasons

I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience I caused everyone and I know Nina will be terribly disappointed since she's the one that introduced me to the league... I'm sorry Nina

I'd like to wish you all the best of luck for the rest of your matches and I'm sure you will all be doing great.

        • davis_greatest 5 - 3 elvaago

Frame 1. A bit of a scrappy affair. elvaago fouls white in the end and davis_greatest seals the win. 1-0
Frame 2. elvaago, on a roll, pots a whole bunch of balls, including black before its turn. 2-0
Frame 3. davis_greatest shows good form but a missed black gives the frame to elvaago. 2-1.
Frame 4. More scrappy stuff from both players. The table is not friendly. Long drawn out duel. Finally... davis_greatest gets it for 3-1.
Frame 5. It's not elvaago's night as he fouls black once more. 4-1.
Frame 6. Very similar to frame 4, with lots of bad luck and d_g finishing the frame in the end. 5-1.
Frame 7. elvaago seems to be finding some form as he takes a big lead, but d_g comes close to winning it still. 5-2.
Frame 8. At least the evening was consistent. This time, D_G fouls black and it's 5-3.

            • Ditto what RaNaN said. It's very sad to see you go, you were a good opponent.

As far as the league is concerned I took the liberty of playing with the fixtures to fit so everyone plays one game a week instead of two people sitting out. The only major change for this week would be having Dannyd0g and Elena play this week.

                    • I am very sorry to see Sam go, I'm afraid I understand his reasons though. Thank you for all the help and fun games Sam.

My match with chasmmi just finished. We started Friday night, huge mistake on my part cause we played 3 frames and chas won them all. So I decided to call it a night and get some rest while I was...
                      behind...

We resumed today, I started out in much better form and snatched 2 frames. But I have to say we were both... well... not exactly at our best at that point...
Then chasmmi won the next 2 frames to ensure his win, and he was going for the last one too - luckily for me he potted the black prematurely, thus winning by only 5-3!!

I have to say thanks for the fun match, chasmmi is always a good and pleasant opponent. I hope we play some more, for practice sometime.

                      • Well the hotly anticipated grudge match between chasmmi and Nina has come to a conclusion as a two session marathon of pool was on show for both players to see.

The first three frames were played at 6am Korean time and the unsociable hours really took its toll on chas's performance and he was only able to establish a 3-0 lead before Nina bottled it and called for a break.

The match resumed an hour ago and chasmmi looked certain to continue his domination over the bewildered Greek. Bamn pots happened left right and centre and Nina was on the ropes as the score extended to 3-2.

The 6th frame was the big on and not one to be caught in headlights chasmmi again forged ahead as just three of his stripes and the black ball remained on the table. Nina attempted something crazy on the black but it all went wrong and chas effortlessly cleared up to take an awe inspiring 4-2 lead.

Frame 7 and there's all to play for as Nina attempts to retain at least some semblence of dignity, sadly chas was not in a chivalrous mood and made Nina pay with a series of blinding shots culminating in an outstanding 2 cushion snooker escape to pot the final solid and have perfect position on the black, completing the formality and pulling away to 5-2.

The final frame was meaningless as Nina was powerless to stop chas's rampage. Whilst clearing up it was said that chasmmi's heart grew 3 sizes that frame and when he saw Nina's incolsolable cries in the chat window he took pitty and sneakily pot the black in such a way it looked like a bad shot.

The frame went to Nina but the match and the hearts and minds of those watching were chasmmi's.

                        Final score chasmmi 5 - 3 Nina.
