Ellena is certain to qualify for the semis.
    RaNeN is not certain yet!
If RaNeN loses both his last two matches then DGE wins his match and he'll have more points than RaNeN, if elvaago then also wins his match, he'll have more points than RaNeN, who will then be at a max of +4 frame difference. I Marc then beats Ellena by 6-2 or more, he will have 11 points and a +6 frame difference where RaNeN has +4. In that case, Ellena, elvaago, Marc and DGE qualify and Alex and RaNeN drop out of the top 4.
Alex's position depends on the results of others. If elvaago loses and Marc ties or loses, Alex is through. DGE needs to win to be sure to qualify. If he loses, elvaago needs to lose and Marc would have to win to overtake DGE. But if Marc ties or loses and elvaago loses, DGE doesn't have to score another point.

It's a tight contest for the top 4 spots and there are still 6 contenders.

Hopefully that will be ok....i should have a repair-man coming round this evening though. But dont know exactly what time he's coming. So we could at least make a start on the match - but may have to pause the match if he turns up during it - if thats ok ?

          • Sorry about my disappearence it is possible I may be able to play in the next couple of days I hope.

Basically if all goes to plan I will have my computer on next Friday and then will be able to do everything again as before. This also goes for the tournament thing if the planned start is after 7th Sep.

            Sorry Elvaago.

            • No problem, chas. I am not in a rush to play. As long as you play like crap and hand me an 8-0 win we can play whenever you like!

              • Ranen decided to play me and DG simultaneously on 2 tables, with a 30 second timer on each table !

Well to cut a long story short he blitzes me 7-1. I only took that one because DG came in to say hello, and like an Angel From Above, as soon as he appeared Ranen potted the black out of turn, and lost the frame !

I wasnt even playing that badly today, only played a couple of poor pot attempts, but made one or two tactical errors at crucial times. But against Ranen you cant afford any slip ups atall.

                Brilliantly played Ranen.

Good luck with your remaining matches.

                • I just played RaNeN!

I was a bit shocked to notice a 30-second countdown timer ticking on my first shot (so that's why RaNeN invited me into the Advanced room ) - but as RaNeN assured me that he was playing dannyd0g simultaneously also with a 30-second time limit, I let him off! Also, I remembered that Davis always plays better when he plays quickly...

I'll have to type the match report quickly too, as RaNeN potted balls so quickly that I didn't see any of them go in. I think they must have all been going into the pockets though, as they were disappearing from the table sure enough.

Frame 1 - over before I knew. RaNeN is potting everything in sight. RaNeN 1-0 d_g
                  Frame 2 - d_g levels: RaNeN 1-1 d_g
Frame 3 - RaNeN's potting and position is flawless. d_g gets the better of the final safety exchange, but messes up black ball position. Black goes astray - RaNeN doesn't need 2 chances. RaNeN 2-1 d_g
Frame 4 - d_g makes a nice break but once again snookers himself on the final black. RaNeN handed it again. RaNeN 3-1 d_g
Frame 5 - d_g hasn't given up - he pulls off a nice break to leave RaNeN with all his balls still on the table. RaNeN 3-2 d_g
Frame 6 - RaNeN begins to pull away again. Immaculate breakbuilding, helped by the odd crucial error by his opponent, and it's RaNeN 4-2 d_g.
(On the positive side, I am doing better than dannyd0g, who is by now 5-0 down to RaNeN on the other table.)
Frame 7 - Another positional slip by d_g is all that RaNeN needs... RaNeN 5-2 d_g
Frame 8 - No stopping him... and RaNeN doesn't even realise the match is over.

                  Final score RaNeN 6-2 d_g

I would say well played, but it is with great dismay that I must reveal here that RaNeN is actually a cheat. It unfortunately transpired at the end of his matches with me and dannyd0g that RaNeN had not this time been simultaneously writing the match reports as he usually does. This means that he was spending his time watching the tables, focusing on the match, and may have had as much as a full 15 seconds to concentrate only on playing each shot rather than on other activities (such as juggling, riding a unicycle, reading backwards - OK - he may have been playing another four matches simultaneously, but that would still give him 5 seconds to play each shot).

OK... well played RaNeN ... a great performance. (Actually, I didn't play that badly... but against a player of RaNeN's class the odd mistake each frame proves fatal. )

Good luck everyone in the remaining matches... especially, good luck to chasmmi!!

Assuming the top 2 seeds make the final, I'd literally like to see that match too, especially if Ellena is on form.

How about once the finalists decide on a time and date of their match they post it here so that anyone who would like to watch it can do ?

I think it might add a 'sense of occasion' to the final, if there was a 'live audience'.

                              • Ummmm....What do I say???
Those 2 matches I played were not actually 2 matches but just one for me. I played whenever it was my shot. I actually wanted to play Dan today. However, when I saw D_G online I couldnt resist and played him and after the 1st frame came Dan and then began 2 matches.

Truthfully, When my match with D_G was over I didnt even realise it was over!!! I actually was wondering why D_G didnt start the game and when I asked him he said....its all over!!! My only dream of atleast winning one match of mine 8-0 wasnt accomplished.....7-1 is close enough though!!

I dont think D_G or Dan played badly. Good luck to you both in future.....Maybe next season you guys can have your revenge.
                                Thanks for the games guys!

I am glad I am into the semis!!!! Yipe!!!

                                Cheers!!!!
