I know, all it needs is for China to call in all the American debt it owns and the sub-prime crisis will look like a picnic.

Yeah, though "thankfully" China keeps buying large swathes of the Western world, so they've got quite a good insurance policy!

Yep, we are now effectively under the control of a quasi communist state - oh the irony!

Not a truth brexiters can deduce from reading the Daily Mail or papers of similiar ilk, I'm sure people like Murdoch and the rest of the corporate giants would rather it not be known, people voting their rights away is a huge plus for them however way the general public are conned into doing so. They want to keep corporation tax as low as possible with blame pointed at immigration or any other reason for inequality to be maintained. Nationalism is an easy weapon, alongside populism. I think Churchill said the biggest argument against democracy is talking to an average voter for a few minutes, has been showed with the referendum, peoples arguments are 'we are Great Britain'. It's tribal warfare of the uneducated classes being puppeteered by their masters.

Quote from Hello, Mr Big Shot 'We're great Britain FFS.' That's the sort of argument that equates to intransigence and without any argument.

This isn't an argument against democracy, but it is more an argument that under capitalism and free media, public opinion can be formed in the favour of corporate giants. That's clear I think.

I wouldn't want you to be banned, simply because you have the arguments everyone that looks for their solutions at the bottom of a beer glass has. You're entertaining in a kind of way. I'm sure we all find you comical to an extent

Another argument that you have added so so much to It's like you really have nothing to add

                • I'll add more to this, I actually went to the school that Georgina Browes went to, a girl who works in the European government. At the same time, and from the same school, Robert Oxley was a member. He was always stuck up, not popular yet played a part of the brexit camp. Who'd you support, a girl well liked, or a lad that liked to talk with a plum in his mouth? Whilst Oxley's posts are all about white collar fighting and class suppremacy, it's nice to post the thoughts of a lady I agree and have much in common with.

                  https://www.united-europe.eu/wp-cont...-Browes-ok.pdf

It's amazing really, the same date of births in the same hospital, same interests, we both know my father as he coached her at tennis, she joined me at my school in year 9 I think...so much in common. Decent lass...same initials too

                      • I'd say a lot of Brits work hard for their cash, to lose opportunities they once had to spend it as freely as they once could is a huge downside of the referendum vote. There's properties like these http://www.bulgarianproperties.com/H...o_Tarnovo.html http://www.bulgarianproperties.com/H...o_Tarnovo.html
Nice properties that are close to the half a million £ valuation in the UK. People living off the council won't appreciate it as they live in a smoke filled council house, but the people who dream of greater things will do. Instead of freedom of movement, people will be confronted by 'the need to spend £300,000 on a property or need a business that employs 10 people. That's the difference, freedoms or behaving like a third country.

                        • Yet brexiteers have given up the right to reside, purchase homes and buy properties in 27 other countries because they think a free trade deal with the rest of the world (disputed) is going to make things better on our small island? Trading more freely with countries that bypass workers laws and all, countries where people are paid less throughout a year than the UK minimum wage is for a single month. To me it's like a bad dream, a really bad dream with Nigel Faradge as the orchestrator. All the time they are saying take back control whilst the government simultaneously allows fracking and peeping laws against the will of the people. Please tell me this isn't reality?

                          • Some brexiteers will be thinking the UK and minimum wage is all they desire. It's up to them I guess, but saying Bulgaria, Romana is full of gypsies to compensate is hard luck. This aint even one of the most exlusive properties in Bulgaria, how much would it cost us in the UK? http://www.ues.bg/en/offers/1970-exq...e-in-ribaritza

There was once a property on the market that had 3 residential buildings, underground access points, helipads, a swimming area for socialising etc... some amazing places sometimes come on the market there but I geuss they are traded between oligarchs. I think if you search hard enough you can find a place with underground heating and tropical plants that are kept healthy throughout the year....some no expense spared places there.

All makes the argument of they are from a failed economy more or less redundant, these countries aren't failed at all.

The Bulgarian locals will hate you just as much as the cornish locals hate the holiday home buyers that are pricing them out of their own communties.
There were a certain number of scottish protestants who moved to ireland about five hundred years ago and that hate is till there, what makes you think human nature is evolving ?

Kosovo ? Syria ? Pakistan/India/Bangladesh ?, jeez the list goes on and it's always the lower classes that bear the brunt of it while the rich send their kids to posh schools and they all end up with plummy voices and a sense of superiority and entitlement to rule no matter what their ethnic origin.

And as for economic growth, that has to end if we're to save the planet, not enough resources for 7 billion people to live a western industrialised lifestyle, the population has grown alongside the industrial revolution in order to provide workers to make the rich even richer.
A status quo has to be reached.

I know civil engineers and air traffic controllers in Bulgaria, trust me they don't have the social class mentality people here do. I wouldn't be hated so long as I spend time with them.
