    • Oh right, a young doctor friend had one and sent it back because it was too fast. :biggrin-new: I do like the skyline, muscle car! Anything Nissan you'll get quite a lot of bang per buck compared to buying German. And they make cars over here too, bless em.

I thought you meant one of these:

Excuse my confusion, it's the wine. Hopefully the Special Brew will sort this out.

My son is saving for a Nissan GT-R, any knowledge on them lol.
In every measurable way other than to look at and listen to the GTR will run rings round it.

            • He did nearly give up the saving and go and get an m3 but he just couldn't do it, he said the only thing that would change his mind over the GTR is if he bought a house to rent out and start a property portfolio , so time will tell, the only trouble is you can't do 193 mph in a two bed semi lol.

Fewer German muscle cars on our roads - an the utter dick heads that drive them - the better.

Yet another reason to vote out (he said, desperately trying to get this thread back on topic, whilst chuckling at the irony).

                    He's buying a car, not a camper van. :biggrin-new:

They are still a prestige mark though and are doing well in business <<<<<<<<<<<< Thread related

                        • As for brexit if we vote out what is to stop the EU putting the same tariffs as they do for the USA on cars made in the uk? they might not be British owned but we still have around a million jobs dependent on the industry that could all end up in Poland! For sure if I were German or french that would be my first action on the Uk leaving.

Come on any imposition of EU tariffs on UK manufactured goods would result in plant closures is a complete fallacy, It is accepted that there will be some job losses in the sectors affected, but these would be limited! It would not make any economic sense for large scale manufacturers (assuming that they enjoy some form of optimal efficiency) as the cost of relocation into the EU would make such a move prohibitive, as would the loss of experienced and skilled workers, who could not reasonably be expected to relocate overseas, especially when their skills would be placed in demand by other manufacturers within the UK. Delays brought about by the establishment of a new plant within the EU, hiring and training of new staff, plus the negotiations of new contracts with suppliers would take many months, if not years, and result in a vast loss of market share and brand recognition.

Tanking the UK economy is hardly part of the EU master plan. We are their cash cow and they know it.

Let France and Germany pin themselves to the roaring economies of Greece, Poland and Albania. They ain't going to like it.
