    Hey Wim,

......a great win for Tom and....

"Et beaucoup de felicitations, et ce qu'une etape magnifique 12 gagnent pour Tom, incroyable. Et Tom a augmente aussi son avance dans la competition de Jersey verte aussi."

And with the individual time trials in Albi today, stage 13, the excitement continues to build, and the sprinters should have the advantage. And then on Sunday, stage 14, Mazamet - Plateau-de-Beille, and a return to the mountains for a few days, and the Pyrenees maybe tough going for some of the riders. Resting on Tuesday.

    Lol.....xx

Quite interesting day ! What was going on between Rasmussen and Contador in the final kilometers ? I got the impression that Contador was trying and even asking for a deal with Rasmussen something like he could help Rasmussen strengthening his yellow jersey - what he finally did - by riding faster in front and he would get the stage victory in return. Anyway Rasmussen consolidating his position today. And Contador being the only one able to threaten him the coming days ? So Contador won the stage but Rasmussen didn't give it away to him - good!

The plot thickens. The French are trying to get Rasmussen disqualified from the tour. I told you, they'll keep on doing it until a French cyclist wins it.

Indeed they are looking to take him out of the Tour!
Tourboss Prudhomme changed his attitude completely yesterday concerning the Rasmussen case . Telling that if he had received the information before the start of the Tour he would have asked Rabobank 'to take their responsibilities' ( =leaving Rasmussen home). So even if Rasmussen wins there will always be a shadow over his victory, no matter what.

And Contador is 'flying' over the mountains. Some already insinuating that Discovery channel know how to 'prepare' their riders...(Armstrong -

Nevertheless today we are in for another fantastic stage in the mountains.

No matter what happens, every rider will always be suspect after winning anything.

Ths is simply how it is these days and it's a damn shame. I badly wish for all the cyclists and all athletes in general to stop using these drugs.

You are right. Allready there are rumours about Rasmussen and what happened in that month in wich nobody knew where he was, just before the start of the Tour.

And French customs checked the Rabobank bus thoroughly. Strangely, all the French teams were allowed to cross unchecked.

                  It's a conspiracy.

2'23 " is the difference between Rasmussen and Contador. Despite some deadly accelerations from Contador - apparently the new Pantani - Rasmussen was able to finish next to him. But the Peyresourde is not the Aubisque (on Wednesday). Contador can/will have to make the difference there as this climb is much more difficult at the end of the stage than the Peyresourde was today. So after tomorrow we are in for a new battle for the yellow between those 2. Anyway I' m impressed by Rasmussen - He is doing great despite all this insinuation about the use of doping. And Michael Boogerd - in his last year - is doing a fantastic job for him. And Erik Breukink from Rabobank is a very, very clever team leader !

And Contador hasn't got a clean slate at all!
He was definitively on Fuentes' list, but offered to appear as a witness, so the spanish cycling federation dropped all charges against him!

My german is not that good but this is the the key sentense of the article I suppose ?
""Spanier Alberto Contador soll wegen einer Kronzeugenregelung aus den Listen der verdächtigen Profis im spanischen Dopingskandal gestrichen worden sein."""

Indeed what a Tour ! It will be like hell tomorrow on the Aubisque.

Exactly! No matter who wins, he will always be suspicious of doping.
I am so much looking forward to tomorrow's stage.
It's a tragedy that I will go on holiday on Friday, so I won't know who won the Tour until next Tuesday or Wednesday!

And the whole team Astana has withdrawn from the Tour. That will be the end of this team, I think. How can anyone be so stupid to take drugs when there is already such a scandal? I really don't get it!

I can't understand it too. And I'm sorry for Klöden and the other Astana drivers because they have to pay for Winos mistake.

And now there seems to be the next doping suspicion and a press conference at the end of the day.
