  • How Amazing Was The Wimbledon Mens Final

Just like to say that nadal and feder were amazing yesterday, federer definatly deserved the win though, Nadal just hasn't got what it takes to be champion. Go on Federer, lets hope he gets the sixth next year.

      Quite Funny

Have you tried serving at 120mph, sure you would be doing more than grunting, bet you don't complain when sharipova grunts........... not so bothered about grunting now

Great match, great rivalry. Anyway FedExpress is still far better than Nadal on any surface, except clay. And when you are winning 3 out of 4 Grand Slam Tournaments and your closest rival is winning just one and twe same every year it is pretty clear who is the best out the two.

Incredibly harsh on Rafa really, he has shown this year just how much his game has improved from last year, when he reached the final despite having only played 9 matches on grass in his entire career before Wimbledon. Reaching the final again this year was a great achievement, great experience and at 21 he's only going to get better. Federer is great of course, but the gap is certainly closing as yesterday proved.

Is there anything in this work that you actually like, agree with or don't complain about?

So I like to play the devils advocate, so what?
At least in doing so it makes you think rather than the pathetic threads such as "Who is you favorite......"

FedExpress is incredible. He is very likely to surpass Sampras performance of 14 grand slam titles and I don't think Nadal will be able to stop him. I trully believe he is destined to break every record in the game. Go on Roger make us proud.

I don't Federer should be classes as the greatest of all time because the current era of tennis is very weak compared to the previous decades. Currently going into a Grand Slam there are three or four possible winners, Federer, Nadal, Roddick and Djokovic who is catching up whereas in the 90s there were a lot of guys capable of wimming a slam. Players like Davydenko and Ljubicic have been as high as number 3 in the last few months which just proves what a poor era this is.

It was a great final. I always like to see history made so was happy to see Federer win his 5th in a row. Although I really thought Nadal was gonna win as he was the dominant player for most of the match and Federer was fortunate to win BOTH tie-breaks, could have been a lot different....

Some of the Hawkeye decisions looked a bit suspect to me. We are all forgetting about Jamie Murray - first british winner for 20 years in any event. What does he see in Jankovic though?

Does anyone know the last british winner to defend the title?

In every era there was a leader, Laver, Borg, Connors, Sampras and now Federer. But I think Federer is dominating like no other great player before him. And I don't think the other players are so weak, they are not performing because Roger is not letting them show what they can do.
The thing is that Sampras, who is regarded as the best in history, never won a tournament on clay and Federer did that in more than one ocasion, and I think that makes him more complete than Pistol Pete.

I voted for Nadal to win, but Federer really deserved it and it was an amazing final!

I am of the opinion Lendl deserved one Wimbledon title at least! Anyway, more than nadal.

But of course he did. Unfortunately for him he never won it. He played 2 finals but lost them quite clearly in 3 sets at Becker and Cash.
