What is this Rep Power lark all about? I've got 2 points: where did they come from? Does this mean i'm more powerful now? If so, how powerful am i? Can i lift a Mini Cooper with one arm? Perhaps a Land Rover? Look, i don't want to be trying it and finding out that 2 points means you can only lift a Chiquicento. I could throw my back out!

Then again, perhaps it's a different kind of power. I mean, could i conquer a small island nation and set myself up as a (benign) dictator? Perhaps i could take Australia? the world? Could i have other members killed? Theoretically speaking of course. What happens if i get to 10? Do i become a demigod? It needs sorting out.

The simplified version is you get 1 pt after you have 50 posts, then 1 pt after a year on the forum, 1 pt for every 1000 posts (if I'm not mistaken) and 1 pt if you are very good and people rep you often and give you 100 points.

As for your Q Dave, I believe the power it gives you is to give more points back avery time you give reputation to someone - no ruling small countries (like Australia ), no superpowers, nothing (I'm sure you'll find that a disgrace now)!

PS: It means I have been given more than 100 points when receiving reputation Dave, but I don't think I can lift a mini cooper either!

Let me see, I believe there are some tiny ones for sale... but you need more rep power than 2 to be eligible as a prospective owner...

I wouldnt go so far as ending it alltogether. But I agree repping does seem to have gone a bit OTT recently.

Has there been a voting circle or something? Last I checked reps people were hovering about 60-70 and all of a sudden people are nearing 200 points?
