The weather patterns are getting worrying...
If I am not mistaken this is the second time within this summer that people in England have to deal with floods, when at the same time in Greece (but not only) we are facing a heatwave for the second time - and the timing coincides... Last time the temperatures reached 47C in some parts of Greece, now it'll be around 45, and that lasts a week or more!
People have died in both cases, it is sad and alarming. I too hope no more damage is caused and the rest of the summer goes by more smoothly.

It has rained here in England virtually everyday for the last 2 and a half months!!
I know we get a lot of rain but it really has been ridiculous!
And I really do feel sorry for the poor sods who have had all of their possessions washed away by the floods."And slowly and surely they drew their plans against us"

I've seen the news earlier , and they showed images from South -East of UK -alarming , houses under water and ppl being evacuated ..I remember we've been through the same last summer .
I really hope the rains will stop soon there and head to the South-East of Europe , cause as Nina said , Greece , Romania , Hungary are "burnt" by the 'unmerciful' sun...it's been a hell the past 2 weeks. We had over 42 degrees today and they said it will stay that way for the next few days..
Really hope there wont be more victims and the nature will be kinder with us for the rest of the summer ."I just want to live for the moment.Tomorrow's not important, next month is not important, what's happened in the past is not important. That's my journey... and I like the journey i'm on!" Thanks for the thoughs Miss Walker.
Much of the Midlands has been affected and I have some friends in Gloucester that have been flooded but my town has escaped it some how despite unprecedented rain. There were some devastating floods in Northampton in 1998 and I imagine the improved flood defences that resulted have been put to the ultimate test. Its quite eerie to think these destructive weather systems are being made more relentless by global warming. By human hands. Tornados, hurricanes, monsoons and earthquakes were practically non existent in Britain in the past but have developed frightening regularity in recent years. When you look at the timeline since the earth has been formed thats not exactly a gradual progression and it makes me question how it's all going to culminate.
