Did anyone else watch lindsey hunter on the this morning show? They were talking about bereavements and the affects on people. Quite emotional when she was talking about paul.. She also mentioned shes found it easier keeping herself busy doing things.

yes very, i am getting too old to read this sort of thing, i find the news depressing enough these days. its a tragic story. deep down i think despite the seriousness of his illness we all thought he would beat it, after all he had a habit of beating the odds!

I;ve just finished reading it this morning and it is really, really saddening for the last few chapters, just shows how much of a struggle it was for them. It's pretty much split into three parts, the first about them meeting and when Paul was messing Lindsey around because he couldn't get away from his childhood sweetheart, Gemma.
Then the second, and sadly the shortest section is when they were truly happy, with the wedding and Masters wins etc.
Then you get the third part which is pretty much half of the book, detailing 2005-7 and everything within those years. That's when it gets really sad, because at first the treatment seemed to work, and despite the sickness, the cancer was going away and it looked good. Then bang, it was back, and though the birth of their child gave them a few positive weeks, after that and once the treatment available was running out, it seems that they knew deep down that it was going to end badlysigpic
