First, the dutch players handled it very unprofessional. I also blame the coach who was moulded and hardened in italian top football. He should have prepared the lads. The ref was incompetent, i think he is even banned now. And the portuguese should start a ballet school.

All history of course, but fun to have a go again!

ON TOPIC, the BBC and other 'reputable' sources have confirmed that Kimi gets the title, no one will be disqualified.

Never mind, I suppose it's only fair.

The race stewards at the Brazilian Grand Prix decided to impose no penalty against BMW Sauber and Williams, following an investigation..so kimi stays champ..

And yeah it is fair! Hamilton had 2 races to become world champ but he cracked under the pressure, he threw it away.... hes a bottler there i think... but i dont think its his fault in the sense that no rookie has ever been put under that kind of pressure and succeded

Formula 1 is not about who can drive the best, but who drives the best car.

              I totally agree with Marc.
IMO Kimi won fair and square. He also had problems with his car this season and to be honest, he did won 6 races compared to Hamilton and Alonso's 4 races.
As for that appeal that McLaren are speaking about, i think it's a desperate thing to do, they should better accept that they lost. In fact they should be grateful that FIA did not disqualified the pilots also in that espionage scandal.

WELL DONE KIMI and WELL DONE FERRARI

well said - also if the ambient temperature is 37 degrees and the fuel is going in at 23 degrees that is cheating because it will have a cooling effect on the car.

as for the spying thing is it not the case that the ferrari guy gave them the info ??

I think that's partly true, but not completely.

Alonso won two titles with Renault, and now he's moved to McLaren, they haven't done anywhere near as good. Talking of McLaren, I just checked last season's records, and they didn't win a single race!

On the other hand, they did have Raikkonen.

But it is true that outside a few teams, no-one has a chance at winning the title, races or even getting points. But the drivers are important too.

Maybe it could be more like the A1 Grand Prix, where all cars are the same (I think).

But if you take a look at the British press, if a target is made, it's usually one of our own. Take Beckham in 1998, for example...
Oh, yes and in 2004 when they blamed the ref and 2006 when it was Ronaldos fault...

All well and good, but then there's 1966 . (And it'd still have been 3-2 without that goal [theoretically....])

In 2004, I admit, I blamed the ref, and we had a real good chance that year as well. But any blame in 2006 was merely glossing over the fact that we didn't deserve to win, which, as I said earlier, most but the tabloid press recognised. (Well, they recognised it, but preferred to build up hate against "Winker Ronaldo".)

This thread is becoming a lovely long argument, no?

Winker Ronaldo, the one who attacked the family jewels of Rooney ?
Portugal used some mean but subtile tricks to get that far in the WC,...but England still was very disppointing. Anyway who am I to discuss football as Belgium can't qualify for anything
I saw that going differently in my mind

In my opinion it was actually the race in Sanghai 2 weeks ago, which cost Hamilton the title. Staying out too long with bad tires was a unbelieveable mistake both by Hamilton and his team. Otherwise he would have had a lot of easier job in Brazil, although he started badly and pushed too much in the first lap yesterday. He s still the best rookie I have seen in Formula 1 and I think he will gain a lot of titles in future
The whole saison being very questionable because of the espionage-affair, I do not think it should end with another court-martial by FIA(T). Kimi did a good job and McLaren performed badly as a team in the end.

thats true - they did for him there. the truth is though its all about the cars now - be it reliability or pace - either they should all be the same as in A1 or there should be no rules at all so the skill becomes on th cars handleing and design.

yes i totally agree with u..did u see how hamilton passed through 7 drivers in 4 laps when he dropped to 14th position??u could see there's big gap difference between his car and another car..

if u let ME to drive his car,i think I could be the world champion too..i mean it..i think my skill is not worse than other driver in f1.

and about hamilton..he deserves it..this rookie is totally extremely arrogant and i really hate him..he acted like hes been in f1 for many years and about his comments..his attitude and etc..if he won yesterday,i wouldnt watch f1 anymore for the rest of my life...luckily this f*** british lost..i think alonso wont be disappointed eventhough he lost..better to give the world champion to kimi rather than to his f***in team mate,...hamilton..
