The Home Nations thing would be nice but they stopped doing it years ago because of the hooligan aspect and it would go the same way again.

As for England - too many foreigners in the premiership, end of!

Ive spoken to many people about this, and Ive heard many opinions on it. AND VIRTUALLY EVERY SINGLE ONE IS RUBBISH. We all blame the manager, we all blame the squad, we all blame the FA, its utter nonsense. If you blame these people you're talking rubbish and thats the end of that.

Of course someone is to blame for this huge failure (that to be honest was of no great suprise to me, or to anyone looking at it from an outside perspective), and these people are the fans. The people who say England are a great squad but poorly managed are exactly the people we should hold responsible for this farce. The fans along with the media have hyped our side up to unbelievable proportions considering their actual ability. Everyone expects us to win a tournament as soon as we reach one, its absurd!!!!! And the hilarious thing is, after we've "bigged them up" we are shocked, angry, upset and dissapointed when the team cant deliver the performances/results everyone expected.

All the fans who go to all the games and buy all the merchandise are responsible for Mclarens £2.5 million payout, are also responsible for their own dissapointment and anger, everyone needs to look at where our side actually rank on an international stage, VERY VERY ORDINARY AND NOTHING ELSE.

          In the words of Bilic:

WAKE UP, WE DID NOT LOSE BECAUSE OF TACTICS

          and this is so right.

          Thanks.

for some yes but you have spoken to me mike i am hardly your typical scot!

i just think its not a present just now for england.

another point that nobody has mentioned yet is also that teams like croatia are very good now, there are not very many minnows anymore look at greece winning the last one and i would argue on merit.

imho the failure of the england team recently is of shared blame, from FA, management team, players etc....theres no factual way you can blame the failure 100% accurately, but IMO you cant rule out any of the above, so blame all. though some may deserve more blame than others

only thing ill miss is the english commentary, commenting on english games

Unbelievably, Windows Media Player has just picked from my MP3's (nearly in sequence) Yesterday by The Beatles (well, two days ago), No Worries by Simon Webbe and The Last Time by Rolling Stones. My PC's giving me mixed messages here!

PS: England are in the second seeds for the 2010 World Cup Qualifying Draw. It gets worse!

The problem with England is that they are not technical enough in modern football like France, Brasil,... Beckham is ok but is there really no one else to play for England than someone playing in America (and being married to a Spice girl) ?
The Scots are not better - I remember Barcelona playing Glasgow for the CL ,
you wished Barcelona winning 10 - 0 when you see the anti football of Glasgow
I saw that going differently in my mind

Well, yes. Shaun Wright-Phillips started the match, Beckham coming on was only a last throw of the die by McLaren in search of some of his magic. His days are gone. I also think Aaron Lennnon should be up there with Wright-Phillips, but he hasn't been in the squad recently.

TBH, I think we have bigger dilemmas position wise than the right wing, i.e. the goalie position (where I'd go for James, and failing that Robinson with Green as back-up, but that's another story)
