Good site, not seen that one before, yeah a little old style but the info is great and presented well, must be a few busy people working to update that.
This site was designed by Sonic Multani- shame he retired very early .One of the best break builders I have ever seen in India.Infact he played Stephen Hendry in a tour match in the 90s here in India & lost in the decidng frame.

606 and here stand out, different class to the rest.
The only problem you have got here is a few posters think they own it.
You can almost feel their indignation and resentment, if you come on and say something that they dont understand or like. They kill the fORUM.
Good to see 606 got a mention from a great poster. 606 has its problems, but the threads are different class.
I read 606 a lot, but don't contribute, there seems to be far too much bitching and pettiness. However when it's all sane, it's great reading.

Think a distinction should be made between Forums and websites providing information.

                              Forum

                              1. BBC Five Live snooker message board. up to late 2005. best one for snooker discussions, and lightfooted banter. Found that one a community where real interaction took place between all members. And I dont mean a clique.

                              2. TSF really made a superb effort with all the options, Archives, Prediction quiz possibilty, good moderating, all praise. Though i have to say snooker discussions are less on here, even during tournaments. Maybe because we have said it all. Seems sometimes a posting board where one is coming to read it. But not TSF fault of course. 606 has more discussions, but it is ruined for the reasons we know. One disadvantage might be the pagers (now gone) and PM as it can develop into bilateral communication only. But I am as guilty as anyone. got more than a thousand pagers before! . Though PM can be handy if meeting up at tournees etc.

                              Websites

                              1. GSC

Especially as a newcomer this is a great site to read about all the players past and present. And Janie is doing such an effort on the scores. The site could be improved on the layout and results archives.

                              2. worldsnooker.org
                              Nice info

                              3. Snookersceneonline.
The one where i always clicked for the world results if questions about it on the quiz.

                              4. wordsnooker.com
This one is okay for the present season but on archives, history etc. it is really unbelievable that the governing body cannot come up with more figures and facts. Typical for WSA.

                              5. worldsnookerarchive.com
This must be the website having the record to be under construction.
Great effort though from a fellow member. (better get rid of that girlfriend)

I'd go a step further and say there are three categories, probably more infact - these being forums, online stores and informative sites. So what are people looking actually looking for in a snooker site?
