Best western ever made. Script brilliant, music the best I have ever seen in a movie. Excellent characters, storyline great.

The Hustler [1961]
Paul Newman as Fast Eddie, awesome. Always thought any kind of cue sports are cool, but this film brought a new meaning to the term 'coolness', and yes, think I may have been a 'pool shark' in a former life [hehe
]
...and the sequel...
The Color of Money [1986]
.......another great performance, and even though 'Fast Eddie' is now middle-aged, and trying to relive his past days of glory through Vincent Lauria, [Tom Cruise], Paul Newman is still 'the man',
, who won an Oscar for this role in the best actor category...

The Third Man is my favourite British film. I wrote an essay on it once. Don't have a favourite Hollywood film, though Cool Hand Luke, Taxi Driver and Rain Man take some beating. I also like the Hustler for obvious reasons. Selby and Drago for the remake

Don't Look Now (1973)
Julie Christie, Donald Sutherland, Venice, a serial killer, a psychic, messages from beyond the grave, a famous sex scene...one of the most bewitching films ever made. It came in at number 8 on the the BFI list of the top 100 British films of all time.

The Last of The Mohicans - simply perfect. Classic story with perfect cast, music and filming. Watched it many times and there are moments I'd swear I'm in the film and I feel what the characters are feeling - you can't get better than that.Il n'y a pas de problemes; il n'y a que des solutions qu'on n'a pas encore trouvées.

Some good, varied choices so far. Appreciating the mentions of The Good, The Bad..., The Third Man and Don't Look Now.
Once Upon a Time in the West is mine. Cinema in its purest form. From the incredible opening scene it's storytelling, vision and soundtrack combine to produce a sensory experience that no other film has quite equalled in my opinion.
Rear Window runs it close.Comment

I have quite a few...I liked Crash, The Terminal, Back to the future and Matrix.
Loved Crash! Awesome acting by Tom Hanks in Terminal. Entertaining trilogy, Back to the future and The Matrix...from the day I watched this Keanu became on of my favourite actors and excellent action!Who needs 'The Rocket' , When RaNeN is here!Comment
