Sry matty, i know this is your thread but I cant help myself. It's a speed drawing of one Lost (TV series) characters, John Locke. Fella is drawing it in photoshop for like 8 hours but the video is a timelapse - 5mins or so. INCREDIBLE

I've got a one piece cuecraft ali case which has a brass plaque on it of the Riley motif which i think is ugly. I imagine it's glued on with Araldite or simlar so ditching it will be a problem. Easiest thing iI can think of is to glue another on top with my own choice of picture/engraving.

I'm sold on the idea of Andy Capp engraved into the brass and black enamel paint as the outline, but the picture I'd like is not that in my Avtar but one of him taking a shot as in this enamel pin badge. Would you have a look and see what you can do for me so that I can send it to a plaque maker pretty pretty please.

Ill need a pic of the case mate.

And ZENIT. Yeah that guy is a great artist, but in my opinion, he just does refs for a living. I dont think Ive seen anything original drawn by him in all the videos Ive seen. But you can deny his incredible pencils, colour and composition.

A pic of the case isn't needed. I can resize and do all I need in paint shop pro it's the removing / whiting in of his shadow around his feet and the shadow cast by the fact it's a picture of a badge I struggle with.

I was wondering if our paths had crossed before. I was into race sims perticulary SCGT for a good while and got to know many of the guys who were making add on's such as tracks and cars for the game and others.

Painted a few cars myself but wasn't any good at it or interested really. It was making tracks that I really wanted to do but when I tried and realised just how much work had to be done I gave up and did the far easier stuff in my mind that of getting the physics realistic and hacking executables.

I thought maybe you had come from a "modding" background when you mentioned codemasters as that's been a way into the business for quite a few. One of the first mods done for SCGT was by a japanese guy who later reworked his JGTC carset for Gran Turismo with Sony. Modders and painters got together in groups with probably the most sucessful going on to form a company known as Simbin that produced GTRC and other sims since.

I cant quite recall that game at all. The job at codemasters is mainly concept art, for instance we could a brief on the plot on what to draw, vehicles, and then we just draw from there. I dont think I have enough in my portfolio to get it but I might get the texture job.

SCGT is Sports Car GT from 1999 made by ISI and sold under the EA sports lable thingy. it's bought with about 20 tracks and cars but now has 300 or more tracks and a few thousand cars made by modders which can be downloaded and added to the game.
ISI went on to make all the F1 pc sims which were also modded till ISI lost the FI licence, which incidently Codemasters announced this week they now have. ISI sold the rights to their game engine to Simbin and made a new one called rFactor specifically aimed at the modding community wherby ISI actually help modders add to the game with free tools and such. That's the top dog nowadays by a long way.
If your interested have a looK see at www.rfactor.net/

To be honest I dont play pc games anymore. Ive got a 360, so GTA4 takes up my time.

I did not mean to say look from a game to play point of view. I was thinking more along the lines of a starting point to which you can further develop your talent perhaps into 3d modelling or whatever. Not much use if you get the job at Codemasters obviously but if you don't who knows where it could lead.

Hey Matty.....I used to do skins for Papyrus NASCAR RACING series. Then worked with The Pits to create the Trans Am mod

Go to my website and see. Currently being built at the minute as its quite time consuming. But you will get the idea.
