I never heard about that story but my respect for Hendry and Williams has gone if this is the case. Even if they didn't kill or seriously injure someone they should be severely punished . I have no time for drink drivers. The laws in this country regarding punishment for drink drivers is far too lenient. If anyone kills someone because of drink driving or dangerous driving they should get life imprisonment.

Regarding O'Sullivan being a nice guy I will look at any other comments you make with much suspicion from now on.

and a few other local papers ...

            and I'm 200% certain that

            1. if it had been Ronnie it would have got much more press coverage
            2. You would have jumped on the opportunity to open a new slagging-off thread over here, which none of the sad Ronnie fans who knew did in this case ...

Ronnie has done a good few daft things in his life - no doubt - but he gets also much more press (and forum) attention when he does anything than anyone else. Others aren't angels either. All those guys are human.

Dave Harold kills hamsters by ramming his cue up their anus but you never get to hear about it because he's not Ronnie. Dave sometimes gets together with Nigel Bond and goes on a hamster killing massacre

I think Ronnie wants the publicity. He does silly things to get noticed. He would rather be in the papers for having done something silly than not be in the papers at all. In his interviews he is always striving for things to say that will get the public going. It is somewhat staged.

And your idol Jan 'Vulcan' Verhass is no different after claiming he was to have back surgery this summer, yet he still refereed in the World Championship so we would think he was working through the pain barrier, so to speak. Do you ever hear Football referees or Tennis Umpires talk about what they do in their spare time? So why is the Dutch man mountain a special case? He must really be a gentle giant to moan about a bad back.

                      • TheBoss, Jan Verhaas really had a back surgery and is now recovering. Yes he's a rather "public" person, his page of facebook is quite open!

Janverhaas, this is only your opinion, and one that is often shared by people who don't like ROS. But it's only an opinion. For someone looking for attention he's strangely absent from forums and other social networking tools like facebook, myspace etc... Contrary to other pros and snooker related persons.

                            • Back to the topic, we will see how big a genious is Nadal in the semifinal against Djokovic. Nole will kick hiss defensive ass out of the tournament.

Jan deserves a lot of credit for staying awake during the O'Sullivan/Carter debacle. Many refs would have had to 'crash out' under the table after a couple of frames of that 'club standard' match. He must have thought he was dreaming and was refereeing a match between 2 Dutch amateurs in a club back home.
