Well, wasn't it you who was afraid about Italy and France? (who struggled in their qualification group against Scotland?)

    But great match! Congratulation.
It was nice to see an italian team who was forced to storm forward and Holland safed me a quite night without tooting italians.

Not afraid, realistic. Italy are the worthy world champions and France can line up 3 A teams.

Nice one, Holland are better than I've seen in years but they had the run of the ball a little so I think Paul is wise in not getting carried away.

        Tomorrow's the one btw!!

ps. before anyone starts moaning, the first goal was not off side as every player is in play wherever he is. So the italian defender behind the line counts as well, being in play. (Rulebook Fifa and confirmed on ARD and head of referees in Holland)
Maybe in Holand it isn't offside, but in the rest of the World it is offside. The italian defender was tackled out of the pitch, so he does not count. But congratulations to Holand, that match made the group far more interesting.

Great match last night, Holland had better offence and goalkeeper. Bad defending from both teams. If not van der Sar, the score could be a bit nicer looking for the world champions Enjoyable evening (even if my favourites are italians).

Did you read my post on 606? . Its almost a copy! yes, 2 times goalsaving efforts by Van der Sar and Van bronkhorst (clearance from the line) and the same minute scoring at the other end. Miniscule events decide a match. could have been the other way around if those chances had gone in. Think last night for once there was team spirit combined with counter attacking play (which is a typical for ddutch football). Thats my last one it! Have a nice day.

ps. the majority here think they've won it but will be flat on their face soon enough.

                Wonder who you´re talking about
But well done Oranjes (with the magic baby-blue socks) Never even imagined you would beat the world champ. The last victory 30 years ago...
If they keep on like that (France wasn´t that good as well) maybe, but only maybe, we´ll see each other in the final remember my signature

Some swedish referee agreed with it not being offside (not the swedish match ref),most people actually seem to agree on that.

Holland was the far better team especially in the first half when they had the quicker feet and quicker mind aswell.. It's only natural to slag off a bit when ure up by two and have one more half to play.

Should win the group comfortably now (and if they don't I'll blame this jinx).

After watching most of the euros so far i think there are 3 real threats this year...
Holland looked great last night aginst Italy and deservedly beat them 3-0. Was also impressed with Wesley Sneider

Germany look as much of a threat as ever and austria/switzerland is near enough like playing at home to them and they have star quality like Podolski and Kuranyi and Schweinsteiger and Ballack to name a few

Portugal are real threats with star talent such as Cristiano Ronaldo along with other players like Ricardo Carvalho

I also think that this may be Spain's year for success as they have underachieved alot...i guess we will find that out today.:snooker:

It has been a decent tournament so far. I've been very impressed with Spain and Holland. Still early stages though and we can expect a few more twists and turns. If the Spaniards keep playing the way they are and don't bottle it, they will win it.

I'm so pleased for Sweden and I'm so pleased Greece lost. And what a goal from Zlatan, the best looking one in the tournament so far
