Your Holiday Tips/Plans

Being off season regarding cue sports, I thought why not start a thread where you can share your holiday plans, ask others for tips etc...

I'll start then: this summer I've managed to avoid all work, which means three months of totally free time. Thus a little plan has grown in the head of me and a mate: First we'll be heading towards North Cape, Norway, then buy an InterRail ticket and cruise through western europe, maybe even reach Gibraltar.

What is a must-see on a trip like that? Only thing planned so far is to visit the Louvre, Guggenheim and the Pope Palace in Avignon.

Feel free to share your holiday plans, whether you're going sailing around the world or just resting in the hammock!

Unfortunately I have no holidays until the Grand Prix in October - and the destination for that is unknown at the moment!

Avignon is a great place, have been there 2 years ago at the pope palace. At Route National 7 there is a wine tasting cellar (250 varieties) just outside Orange. I would recommend also the roman theatre at Orange which is massive to visit. Furthermore Aix en Provence is a typical Provence city with all the colours and terraces (have some pics on this site). If you get bored, can always pass my hometown and give you a tour.

I might head to Israel this year, but not sure of the date yet. hehehehe .

I shall be going to the holiday destination of the world again this year,Tenby Wales.Places don't come better than that.

Thats one big journey that you're contemplating,I'm envious.Gib makes a natural ending point and is a very interesting place to visit,were I going I would make sure I allowed time to include Barcelona,this must be one of the best cities to visit.

You sound as though Paris will be on your route,this is a great place for rail journeys,I'm not sure whether you can on a rail card,but ,if you can catch the TGV down south and experience it,you can always meander through central france on the other direction.

Hope you enjoy anyway,call in at sunny UK on the way home and play a few frames.
