I wanted to mention you will win one in the Beer Brewing contest, but you finally got one.

We did well ending in the top 10 for a tiny country as we are, also I am impressed with Ukrain, having limited resources but still winning a handful of golds. Well done! .

Ludmila Blonska lost her silver medal in the heptathlon.

Incredible legs! By the way, Blonska is a 'repeat offender', she'll face a heavy ban now.

And a silver medal it was for us ! In the overall medal standings we are now the 64th making the most spectacular jump forward ever in rankings I think. We seem to get into an olympic form a little late. Anyway tomorrow another chance with Tia Hellebaut in the high jump for women.

The final in basketball is between the US and Spain. Spain already lost 82 - 119 last week against the US in their group so I can't see a reason why it will be different now. The reporter on Eurosport mentioned the box-and-one defense as the ultimate strategy to stop the Americans. Unless I understood it wrong but they already played a floating zone 3-2 defense against the US so I can't see how 4 players in the bucket and 1 playing man-to-man will make any substantial difference now. Spain will be demolished by Lebron James and co.

One of the highlights must have been the dutch ladies hockey team (gold, and most of them from my hometown). KIm Gevaert would suit the team just nicely!

Kim Gevaert, because she is giggling all the time as well I guess ???

Anyway last week I got out of bed at 5 o clock in the morning just to see Holland's living legend Pieter Van den Hoogenband ending 5th on the 100 m free style swimming for men the ' koningsnummer' . Nearly missed my plane to London because of that.
