I've not gone anywhere mate I'll continue to post as and when i feel fit albeit under a different nick. Wouldn't mind but i've broke no rules, had no communication with the goons, nothing. I just signed in as Wity and saw I was banned.
But thats the way of message boards, you think they are like going in your local and having a chat, better in fact as everyone is into the same subject but eventually you discover the landlord as I was explaining to Jimmy was one of them spotty faced geeky kids forever brownnosing the teacher at school who got his head shoved down the bog by his classmates every day whose just grown up a bit now and found running a message board is his own little world where he can play god deciding who is allowed to speak and who isn't. Pushing the ban button give em a stiffy I reckon.
BTW Weasle, remember where I told you to shove you threats last time you banned me for life? Well likewise stick this one there too as there is no way i'll ever respect a ban imposed for breaking rules that only exist in the heads of you and your goons.

I think some members should treat the moderators with more respect, they do such a great job, reading a lot of posts and spending their time for the sake of the forum and the game, and if it wasn't for these people that arn't treating moderators and others members with respect then the forum would not need to have moderators.

I have to say it's rather unjust when something like this happens and there have been a few cases in the last year. A large majority of people come on here and find Wity humourous and humble - just good fun to read his posts really!
How about some sort of death row system (lol ... should i be laughing there?) Maybe there should be a public vote - where 90% of members have to vote to have that user banned permenantly before it comes into effect?

Well put Hege. Wity, your impression of us is your own fantasy, I won't comment on that further.
We're aiming for a level of discussion somewhat higher than your local, perhaps that's the misunderstanding. Think casual debating society and it might become clearer why I thought your behaviour to be unacceptable. Someone mentioned banter earlier - banter is in good humour, that's absolutely fine. You weren't banned for banter and you know the difference. If you say something to someone here that you wouldn't say to their face in private (or at their local), it's not banter. Additionally if you can't disagree with someone without insulting or pigeon-holing them, don't post.
The forum rules are and always have been here, see rule 1, though they're really quite predictable, and previous bans and conversations ought to have been warning enough. Ultimately if the mods feel you are detracting from the forum as a whole in any way, we're entrusted to pull you up on it however we see fit. It's down to our judgement. If people feel we're abusing that position or getting it wrong, do say so. If I didn't think I was helping the forum there'd be no point continuing.
I'd also like to clarify that the image in Wity's post is the ban message for the Enoch account, not his Wity account (cf. obvious rules on registering another account while banned). His Wity temp. ban was due to be lifted in 5 days and he would've been back with a clean slate. I now have to extend it another week as warned.
Wity - I recommend you wait it out this time. I genuinely don't want to have to ban you permanently, you don't deserve that. If you want to vent (or try a rational argument), email me, rob@thesnookerforum.com (Ferret has nothing to do with this one). As promised earlier you can say what you like to me in private with no risk of punishment on here. I'd also welcome feedback/questions by PM from anyone else, but this thread has run its course.
