Anyone else bored now that 2 regular posters are missing? nothing really happening at the moment.

Right now I´m bored like I´ve never been bored before in my entire life but not because 2 posters are missing Who are they?

Semih_Sayginer is one member that hasn't been here for a while, there are quite a few that haven't logged on for a while.

I used to come on more when 1 certain person was here that i may not mention under threat of death as we used to have some good discussions and helped each other out. Now not as much point...so keep up the good work moderators....your keeping the forum more exclusive

Thank you Kathrin, but its not me Mellow yellow is having in mind, me thinks. I guess it must be Wity. I have gone through some posts just now and it seemed he has been banned. I was not a particular fan of some of his posts, but he had some good contributions as well for other members i understand. Some of the members can have a bit of outspoken opinion and just leave it like that. I think the ban is imposed too quickly. its not the end of the world.

What really amazed me, members are going to be banned making comments about this. Its out of order.

It would be, but no one has been or will be banned for talking about it. At worst we'll close threads but as I've guaranteed before, anyone can say whatever they like to me in private without any danger of repercussions and I will respond. No one's taken up that offer on this though - the only criticism I've seen is a small number of people sniping from the sidelines and that's not going to change anything.

I'll explain one more time. Wity was given a temporary ban for repeatedly aggravating people (not just that final thread, he'd been warned and temp. banned for the same before). Instead of accepting that he came back under multiple different accounts. I gave him plenty of opportunity to walk away, or to argue his case privately. Instead he came back, proclaimed that because he hadn't read the rules he hadn't broken any, and in any case didn't believe that we had any authority to enforce them (just to emphasise, this was posted on the forum, while banned). We didn't want to extend the ban to a permanent one but what choice did he leave us?

No doubt he'll be back again and if he can resist gloating about it and doesn't continue to wind people up he might just go unnoticed. If he's capable of that then fair enough, I won't mind having him. He did contribute in his own way.


A stat for the bored - the last four days have each had >130 posts, mostly good ones IMO. The last day we had that many posts was two months ago, and the last time we had four consecutive such days was the world championship. Life does goes on.

Semih choose to stay away from this board as he felt the situation was becoming very tense between him and some others. He did not trust himself not to react too strongly someday and prefered to retreat. I personally hope it's only temporarily because even if Sem was a bit "rough" sometimes he was a good poster and knows his snooker. But ... it's a thin hope.

Shall I add he's also a nice person ... yes I will.

I am not judging anyone but it goes a bit too far when one takes some issues far too personal. I am the first one to put up my hand I was guilty of it as well on a few occassions. After all it is only a virtual world on here and does not bring anything when it gets into personal frictions. I got to know some members in real life and rather prefer that. Best to meet people in the real world and dedicate one's time a bit more useful.

Those who don't agree are of course free to do whatever they think and like. Live and let live.
