Film recommendation

The most underrated film of the Oscar season was DOUBT! I'd recommend it to anyone because it has everything one would require of a film... fantastic performances, beautiful scenery, meaning and consequence injected to every frame as well as a gorgeous soundtrack by Howard Shore. I cannot wait for it to come out on DVD!

i would also recommend Doubht.phillip seymore hofman was superb.but you leave the movie still wondering if the priest is innocent or guilty.

不能说的秘密 or Secret that Cannot be Told, a Chinese movie by Jay Chou, a well known singer, composer, musician, actor, director, and producer (who is my favourite artist): It's my favourite movie and completely took me by surprise by just how much it blasted Chungking Express. It's a love story set in a musical school but with a twist but I can't explain in detail just how much of a twist it is because it will ruin the main movie. Let's just say that I will never again watch this movie in the early morning - I have to admit, no other film really freaked me out as much as this one but again, that's probably because I watched it in the early hours of the morning!! It is such an emotional film that will leave an impression.

It's all in subtitles for non-chinese viewers. Jay, my favourite musician and it just displays how much talent he has! All piano parts are played by him and are all real. I hope you'll watch it - it's a rare masterpiece and it will never be available in the UK so here's your chance!

Think of Pans Labrynth mixed with What Lies Beneath! It differs from Western Love movies which I find tend to be too corny. To describe Secret, it would be - funny, uniquely romantic and scary. It definitely caught me by surprise and if you don't look at the synopsis, it will to you too.

PLEASE REFRAIN FROM LOOKING AT A SYNOPSIS IF YOU PLAN ON WATCHING THE MOVIE! IT'S A VERY COMPLEX PLOT
