  • Sheffield half marathon.

As it coincides with the championship I have registered to participate. Second sunday (26th of april) of the tournament. Anyone up for a challenge and like to join me? Statman will take pics! . I am a bit early because of limited entries (5500).

As usual I have no time to go then, otherwise surely yes. Good initiative.

If you do it everyday, its half a marathon after 3 weeks. .
I am a bit weary about the course as there is some endulation in Sheffield, and running here is just on a flat track. The course goes around The Crucible though, which is a bit special. Lets hope no injuries will flatten me before the event, at my age.

Statters should park his limousine at the don valley stadium (finish line) as I wont be able to make it back to Sheffield centre and pub!

Hmm, I have tried this distance only once and without training. My legs were dead after the run
If I'll be able to do some training before this and everything will be ok with my leg's ligaments I experience problems now with, then maybe...

Great idea! Shame it's not for skaters, as well. That is much easier than running...

I am on schedule (17 weeks of training), did 16 km last saturday in 1 hr 25 minutes and today 7 km just over 30 minutes. Left knee is hurting though.
And nearly fainted two times in midweek, so dont know whether its that healthy

That is good Paul. Just go on. Ran a marathon in Vancouver last year in 3h 05 min never felt so happy in my life...just a simple as that , go on
I saw that going differently in my mind

Thats a pretty good time! Wont make that, but astonished by the progress one can make training by a schedule. Normally I did a round of 7.5 km just under 40 minutes where I managed it today in just a few secs over 30 minutes after 3 weeks training.

Don´t want to mention all the things on the board

I deeply apologize for saying you´re 33. Didn´t want to make you older than you really are
