Faldo captaincy

Away form Snooker: What is everyone's opinion on Faldo's captaincy in the Ryder cup?

Withstanding yesterdays disapointing start, I am not impressed by how he has done thus far: Two questionable wildcard picks ( always going to be a personal thing), lets slip his playing order, turns up late for conference ( thus giving Azinger a great tonic for his team to gee them up), very poor opening speech, and questionable relationship with the media

My own thoughts aside those mentioned is that whilst players and public alike respect Faldo for his record in a great career they don't respect Faldo the man?

The British sporting press will certainly be gunning for him if we loose come Sundy night.....They will certainly have him for how he used to be very untollerable of them when he was in his heyday

The choice of Poulter over Clarke looks to be one thing he got correct.

The US played very well over the first two days, Sunday will be very close.

Didn't have a good reputation with the caddies either! Having said that I do hope we win though, for the players sake - not his!

I dont know what all this Faldo bashing is all about ,He is easily the greatest golfer this country ever produced and I think talks a lot of sense.
I dont think he is really interested in your opinions anyway , just let him get on with his job of retaining the cup!

if you read this thread properly no one has said anything about his ability to play golf,this thread is about his captaincy,and our opinions on it , and i for one dont give a monkeys wether you or the arrogant,aloof faldo likes it or not

Even though were behind the game could have gone either way, today will tell a tale.
As for Faldo in his role, he is a pro in everyway just like Davis, Hendry, and those that they took over from and those yet to come.

So let me get this right, you join a forum to express an opinion, and then you slate someone else for having an opinion???

We are entitled to express an opinion as are you, whether you or Faldo is interested is not the point nor is whether you agree with someone elses point of view...The point is we are entitled to express it!

The fact is you are correct he is one of the finest golfers this country has produced. Yes he taks sense on some occasions, the point I was making I don't think thus far he has been the best captain Europe has had, and have invited comment from other forum members...
