  • Sheffield arena...

I just noticed that Bob Dylan will play at the Sheffield Arena on April 24, so I am considering missing an evening session during the WC and going there.

Does anyone know what the accoustic is like in the venue? I have had very bad experiences with big halls before and the tickets are quite expensive...

It was a good venue when i last was there. Since then , Manchester and London have built better venues. Probably other cities too. But it is much better than the Birmingham NEC or Wembley Arena. I saw Robert Plant there and the acoustics were fine. I Know what you mean about the sound in these big venues and the sound can often depend on how full the venue is and where you are sitting and the set up of the band.
The Sheffield Arena is a modern venue so should have been created with sound in mind.

Last time Air Traffic played there, but I only noticed when it was sold out already.

Funnily the PL Darts is there during the world championship on thursday the 30th of april. I might have a look, never been to live darts. And just opposite The Crucible.
