  • Inspired by Ferret

Having looked at Ferrets photography blog and seeing his wonderful pictures i was inspired to blow the cobwebs off my camera and start clicking myself...

I don't confess to being a great photographer, like ferret, so decided to make you all jeleous and post a picture of the view from my workplace

It was taken today (very cold and misty) so just imagine how beautiful it will be in the summer

If thats awful maybe i should post the view from our office that we get of Sainsburys car park on one side, or the A56 on the other. I think i'd prefer the seaview with boats etc anyday...

Maybe this thread will morph into - "the view from your workplace..." or should that be a new thread ?

Nice view totlxtc. I guess the only downside of working in such beatiful places is that you dont have the advantage of being able to stroll to Subway or a host of other takeaways for a bit of lunch

Good to see a few more people putting up no snooker related pics

We should add a photography section to the off topic category then everybody can share there work.

One thing I have found hard whilst learning all the technical aspects of photography is finding one place where I can learn everything, there are a lot of good photography websites out there but not quite what I needed! I mean I want somewhere that I can go and read about High Dynamic Range, Focus Stacking and Post Production, so I am setting up a website with an American photographer friend of mine called www.FocusStacked.co.uk should be ready in two weeks.

The site will have everything you ever wanted to know about taking pictures, it will have articles from what the settings mean on your camera to how to make a HDR image from a RAW file.

                Keep the pics coming people.

I have a very good system that i work to when i take pictures:

                    1. Take a photo

                    2. Make minor adjustments using PHOTOSHOP (other photo altering programs are available) lol

PURE AMATEUR..... just like my snooker
