Is it just me, or would you expect a cue with a laminated shaft, to have splices that sat perfectly in line with the arrows ?

I mean isn't that one of the main points of going laminated anyway ?

Yep some of the splicings are well off on that cue. I know some people like the laminated design in that the chevrons are uniform and evenly spaced out but personally I cant think of anything worse looking than the huge contrast of the black chevrons on the shaft. 444 positive feedback so I'm sure he's genuine but it's always a bit strange when someone is only selling a cue because the spec is slightly out, it would cost very little to get it trimmed down to the tip size he wanted, it's 8.8 as it is so I doubt he wants it much smaller, if it's a great £425 cue why lose a lot of money on it for a job that would cost a fraction of that.

Yes and no. Perfect chevrons is a bonus for some but the main reason I thought was consistency of shaft density, flex and resonance/feel. Personally, the chevrons are eye numbing, far too dark and bright. Looks really artificial to my eyes but I understand why folk wish for the mechanical properties. Unfortunately, the one person who can talk from experience about these cues is banned. Ramon, your passing is with regret.
