  • WANTED: Snooker cue package

    Hi,

Does anybody have any snooker cue packages available, ideally containing cue, case, mini-butt and extension?

My budget is originally around the £80 mark, of course less would be nice but likewise I would not immediately rule out anything a little over.

I have already started looking and am touch with some people already who appear to be very promising however I'd like to find out what the second hand market has to offer.

My initial plan was a 3/4 cue however I'd be interested in any suggestions!

    Thanks

One he should find the extra money and buy in my opinion. Can always buy the extensions at a later date.

Lava. The extensions alone are £30-40. The case is probably worth £10-15.
That leaves you a £25-35 cue when you buy it all in a "package".

What I'm trying to say is the cue will probably be rubbish.

You're better off buying a decent cue, then getting the accessories later when you've saved up your pennies.

Lava ... please excuse me if I'm not keeping up with the plot but I thought you were expecting delivery of a "Silent Knight" cue ... what happened to that? looked a very good cue for the money from the link you provided ...

[edit] I am not being "snobbish" when I say "good value for the money" ... I haven't seen a Silent Knight myself but it genuinely looked like a very decent cue and excellent value[\edit]

              Thanks for the replies.

Have contaced Craftsman but still not heard back from them - Compared to other cue makers/dealers they seem pretty slow at comms. (Had emailed them in the past regarding some of their other products).

The idea of a cue now and accessories later is good however I'd definitely not be happy spending money on a cue that I have no protection for... My only idea if I don't manage to source one elsewhere is to grab a cheap one off of eBay mainly for the case and extensions and then use the cue whilst I save for a bigger and better one in the meantime.

                  rstdave,

Thanks for the heads up but I've now sourced my new cue (Which I'm chuffed to bits with... Tempted to take pics and do a thread tomorrow... To you guys it'll just a "typical" cue... But I love it!).

What's the procedure here? Close the thread?

                  Cheers.

Photos'd be good, if you can do it. I can't!
