If you want a good playing cue and a beauty, I'd go for the Tonys: Glover and Wilshaw as well as Dave Coutts. IMO you'll get what you want from these guys! I've got a Tony Glover maple cue with an ebony butt, spliced with bird's eye maple over ebony over maple veneers and it's a work of art, as well as being as good a playing cue as I've ever had, and I don't even like maple to play with!! If only I had a digital camera, I'd upload some pics, but ...

Anyway, good luck with the hunt!

      Thanks a lot, Keith.
I think that will be the ranking i will keep in mind.
Recently i bought from ebay a Tony Glover maple cue. To be honest this was not a masterpiece. But maybe it is just because i do not like maple.
I've sent it to Tony for reapair because a glueline was cracked. I made this only for not selling defective stuff later on. But it is more a cue for pool than snooker.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...
