  • Sidney Smith Handspliced 1947-48 cue

    Hi,

I got an antique snooker cue: Sidney Smith Champion cue 1947-48 handspliced, 55", 10mm tip, ash, 17oz stamped. In very good condition and great player.

Sidney Smith out of interest was the player credited with snooker's first ever total clearance.

Am a student and hence needed the money.

    Regards.

    Hi,

Can you post a picture please?

I have owned 4 Sidney Smith cues of this type 3 47,48,49 and 1 like yours a 47,48 which are quite rare due to only being in production for that 1 year, but each of the cues I had was machine spliced, I have never seen a handspliced version.

I am not doubting the authenticity of your cue but would really like to see it.

    Cheers.
Just because its old, doesn't mean its worth a fortune!!

Could you put a picture on ADR, I would really love to see this cue as I said in an earlier post I had a few of these cues when I was collecting but never saw a hand spliced one.
