  • Pro Talisman 10mm/11mm S snooker tips (free shipping in US/Canada)

    Hi,

I have a small batch of Talisman Pro pigskin S tips in 10mm and 11mm that I have just received directly from Tony of Talisman.

These are specially made for snooker cues and are already doomed at the top so you do not need to spend hours trying to trim and shape them.

I am offering a packaged of 4 tips for USD $43 with free shipping for all US (lower 48 only) and Canadian buyers as a promotion. This offer will end once my current batch of tips are sold out.

Tips will be shipped from Canada via Canada post.

Please PM me for payment info. Thank you very much.

Note: Past and present players endorsing Talisman snooker tips include Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Williams, John Higgins, Steve Davis...etc. (Info provided by Talisman)

As I am awared a lot of you who have tried to installed Kumai, Moori ... etc know that trimming it from 14mm down to 10mm or smaller is a real pain.

Sometimes, the tip would de-laminate during the process. This dose not just ruin a good tip but is also frustrating especially after all the time you have spent in gluing, centering the tip and so on.

But what is the most frustrating is that even if you succeed in trimming it down without any de-lamination, you are faced with a very thick and high tip! This "high rise building" is almost half the height of your ferrule and is a real pain to file down.

You will see a lot of movement of the tip from left to right as you file, much like a high rise building during an earthquake. Sometimes, the tip would delaminate as you are filing.

When you are done, very often you are left with a few layers of tips--after all your hard work and the money you spent, you have pretty much sanded down and removed 85% of the tip before you even hit a ball.

I have just put on a 10mm Talisman here on a cue, without any trimming, sanding, filing, or polishing on the ferrule. It took me about 2 minutes to put on the tip, and centered it before I took the following two pictures (one with flash and one without.)

As you can see from the pictures, you still have all the original layers (about 8 of them) and the top is doomed already shaped--even without any trimming or filing, the tip is ready to go.

No risk of de-laminating it during installation, no hassel in spending hours to trim it down--most importantly, no more "high rise building" to deal with. You get to use 100% of the tip that you have paid for.

You can play with the tip just as it comes, or you can lightly file the top to your liking. It is just that simple.

Hope this helps for those who have not tried the difference between a 14mm layered tip and one specially made for snooker.

After I typed my last post, I took a few minutes to file the top a bit to my preference, and then took another picture as shown below. (The cue has a 10mm tip and the tip I used was 10mm.)

The tip is good to go now, the whole tip installation process took me less than 10 minutes because I did not need to spend any time trimming my tip, and only a couple minutes were needed in filing the shape of the tip.

          Hope this helps.
          Thank you.

I would like to buy 4 of them and as I'm in Canada let's make it Canadian dollars. How would you like to arrange payment?

I am selling snooker tips, not pool cue tips.
If you like 14mm tips I also have Talisman 14mm M. But since you are closer to Talisman and are quite far from me, you are probably better off buying from them.
I am mainly trying to introduce this tip to the Canadian and US market. A lot of them do not like to go through the agony of shipping fees, tax, and other postage problem such as lost parcel and so on buying from another continent. I am the only Talisman dealer in Canada who supplies this tip as far as I know.
For the same reason, the UK buyers are probably better off buying from ADR147, I think he sells his at 6GBP a piece or something like that.
Anyway, good luck and thank you.

Please explain exactly what you don't like about the fitting of the tip.
                      Thanks, Wayne G.

The Talisman Soft Pro is probably the tip I'll be using this season as I've read so much about them and really want to give them a try.
