When you say busted, do you mean completely beyond repair, or is it just a lock problem?

i mean the long hinge along the length of the case comes apart if you koff on it...anything put in the case slightly larger than the diameter of my cue and closed splits at the seams

must be a cheap aluminium case..never had a problem with cue craft cases

Isn't there a way to put it back in place and reinforce the hinge? I've done that myself on a cheapo case, and it worked out ok ...it's cheaper than buying another case.

not really.....the hinge as u will know is a c section over a circular bar for the whole length...i could rivet leather straps over it but will still be weak....it time to move on...adr147 has a silver one on ebay at the minute...but for a 20 minute ride to greenbaize...it may hav to be the option

I just pressed the c section all along the length of the bar, so that it was more tightly on, but movement wasn't limited, and it did work. However, maybe it is time to move on (sniff, sniff!) and get yourself a better model which will last longer. Being as Andrew is in France at the in-law's 'til the New Year, then perhaps it'd be better to go and see Stu - he's got some nice cases on sale at the mo as well.

            Good luck!

I came across many aluminum cases, some not branded ones too! You can easily tell that Cue Craft Aluminum case is by far the best affordable aluminum case, one day an owner of a snooker club was trying to persuade and make me buy "new" golden aluminum cases, I forgot what brand they were, but imagine, just by flipping the case the rubber on the sides falls and you have to push it back again!
It's not the pace of life that concerns me... It's whether I make a 147 break before it ends!
