  • Extra long cue **WANTED**

    Hi all.
Very tall player looking for an extra long cue. Preferably abut 64" long, 9.5 tip, ash or maple. All considered, would like quality such as Parris etc. Proffesionally modified cues also considered.
Failing that, does anyone know of long cues available without having one custom made?
    Thanks

I would think you'd have to custom order that size, and i imagine it would be difficult to make, i don't think lathes go part 60"

Really i cannot see how 64" will help you. I think Trevor said something about 60"+ being bad, but it was a long time ago. What makes you think you need a 64" cue apart from you height?

More xperienced players at the club commented on it. I then played with a mini butt in and I get a much better cue action. With a 58" cue I start my action with my hand already at my waist.

Id really say try a 60" first if you can find one. A 64" would be like playing with long tackle. I dont have anything at the moment thats bigger than 59" so I cant help you im afraid.

HI i to had the same problem iam 6ft 4 and played with a standard size cue 58 ins, i found i wasnt getting any better i was playing Jimmy White and after my frame we where talking, I said i am struggling with my game he said my cue was to small for me so i got it lenthend to 61.5 ins, which has improved my cue action and game .Butt the cue is just about an inch to long so i will shorten it .I think a cue at 64ins will be to long .

I'm 6ft 4 and used to play with a custom peradon at 60" which I play ok with..

I changed to a standard 58" and im a much better player for it, while you do need a longer cue I would say 64inch will be far too long... as well as most cues made to that spec would be rubbish...

                    Try a 59" perhaps?

                      Thanks for all the advice.
Harv, wanna sell your 60" Peradon or did you spec it that long with the cue wizard? I currently use a 58" Peradon and love it but wont be happy until I have used a long one to be sure.
                      Thanks again

Sonds interesting Louise. Do you have any pictures of the cue? Does it come with a case for that price? Can it take a mini butt?
                              Thanks
