One piece with base joint is preferred, but even Butt Joint could be Ok.
Not like so much plain ebony, so the more complicated splices the better preferred.
Cue spec 57-58inch, tip 9.5-9.8, butt dia 29.3-30, weight not over 18.3OZ.

Hi Windson, I knew a Hong Kong guy playing snooker in our local club (Shenzhen) has a beautiful 25 years old Hunt and O'Byrne black plate cue, it's 3/4 plain ebony butt w/o butt joint, I was interested but his asking price too high (RMB7200), if you're interested, I can ask him to contact you.

It will be hard to get one of those.
