Little naughty saying its not used before

Ive seen Trevor use it a few times. There was a cue on ebay made by ADR that also used it.

It does come up very pretty. Its almost pearlescent and shimmers. It does look nice but John will have to find a good piece for a splice.

he didnt say it wasnt used before, he said that he has never used it before.
that is the exact wood, it has almost a translucent effect once finished and the light hits it really well! he has a lot of it to use, but just hasnt done so yet.
he had all different types of wood that i hadnt seen before, and alot that yourself and trevor have made/mentioned also.
is this masur birch supposed to be more expensive than standard woods then? I think i may have been lucky in getting my order in before he knows he has to charge more? lol

It is a little more expensive than most. But it is quite easily attainable. Here is an example and you can compare with other woods with the price...

You could always buy the piece incase he decides to wack an extra few £ onto the price.

I think I done ok lol.
I opted for this over Olivewood as Olivewood is much more common and I thought this had a bit more of an appeal to it.
I must say tho, your picture of the mini-butt probs just cost me an extra £77 lol. It looks well good, I think ill order the mini-butt to match! lol

Good choice mate. It is very very pretty. Try and get him to send a pic of the splice aswell.

Having the mini in it aswell is a good idea as its not too heavy like ebony. Infact if finished right it has a nice feel to it in you hand and you wont be dissappointed.

I will be interested to see how he finishes it.

As soon as it is ready I will be posting pics on here anyways.
Might even ring him after a while see how he is getting on and see if i can pop in to have a look.
The bit that he had as his sample finished up really nice and had such a nice look to it.
Was all set on the olivewood and as soon as i saw it i wanted it! lol
