Item Description...
Immaculate condition one piece antique snooker cue.
I can't tell you exactly how old it is but it was given to me by relative who used to play back in the 20s and 30s. It's a truly wonderful example of woodwork craftsmanship. Originally quite a short cue I had it lengthened by John Parris to 57" (standard length). The butt was rebuilt to include 4 matching ebony and mahogany splices to overlay the original mahogany and ebony ones. I had a new name plate made but will include the original one seen pictured.
Maple shaft with an extremely smooth finish.
Double hand spliced Mahogany and Ebony butt with four alternating secondary splices of Ebony and Mahogany.
Fitted with a John Parris S.D. joint in the end of the butt (although no extensions available)
Weight: 18.5oz (523g)
Length: 57" (145cm)
Tip size: 9mm
c/w Full size one piece baize lined black leather cue case in excellent condition (one block of green Triangle chalk also included).
Starting bid: £150
