            Dan The Man!
            Striking! [ pun intended ]

Photos reveal your excellent craftsmanship, and I'm pretty
sure they would play well but your fine looking cues made
me do a double-take on my own taste.
Personally, I prefer the right, put on our white shirts
and black waistcoats and get to work look of Traditional
ebony and ash or maple. Maybe that's because I lack imagination.
But your choice to add a slap in the butt slice of burl makes me
reconsider. And that quirky, graphic juxtaposition of funky rosewood
with curly maple. WOW!. It reminds me of my cat's tail straight up
in the air in the moonlight saying "Who's next?".

Wonderful stuff Dan and keep on it mate!

            =o)

Thank you very much Noel. I do agree with you fully. This is the first cue i have made thats not got a veneer or other splices. Originally the plan was to use this burl and then a top splice of ebony. But as soon as i had worked the splice down i decided against it, and im very happy with the results. Infact, id go as far as saying its my favorite one ive done so far.

Tiger or fiddleback maple shafts are bit of an american "thing". Do not like them personally, but guess if someone wanted one then i would try.
