H Nelmes was a very good and reputable maker who made Professional tables in the 1900's up to the 1940's or so. I had a Nelmes cue that had multi-splices from many woods. I recently had it refurbished from Dave Coutts and he said that it was one of the best cues that he has seen for it age and quality.
Their tables were used mostly for professional billiards and there is an bbc archive stating that it was a Nelmes Table that a pro billiard player at the time had made a record score on the billiards. You would need to look on the bbc archives to search it out, unfortunately i am no good at attaching files an such like.
Rest assured though that i stated that Nelmes was a much sought after name as it was on a par as Burroughes and Watt. They also had snooker halls in their own name. Look for a post that i did on this forum and the responses given.

      Regards
      Tam

I notice that someone has moved the Red life pool slide. This should be above the Yellow, the sequence being White, Red, Yellow, etc... The others are in the correct order. No "Black" you will notice.

Looks to be in nice condition.

Thanks tamma, i've looked over that thread, i see like myself you had a hard time, gaining much information at first, and i am in no doubt whatsoever your cue is outstanding.

I had actualluy seen a nelmes cue many years ago, one of dads friends brought it to one of dads snooker nights, because he knew he had the board, my dad couldn't prise it from the guys hands with a crowbar that night, though he did leave a black one piece metal round Burroughes and Watts cue case, which we still have, though the rust seems to like it more than the dust

Thanks to all for the info, this is a really informative forum.
