i believe Run might have mis-spelt "know" for "now"... if i may rephrase it... "hi, you know, O'min cue is from Thailand."

and i would agree that O'min makes good cues. test played a couple, cues were very well-balanced.

right i am having a bit of a clear out while i am stuck in the house with a cold - several people have been asking me about cheaper cues so first cue on offer to forum members is this. its a brand new o'min cue, all level splices and a tight close grain one piece 57" 18.4oz and 9.5mm - this is a very very good cue. if it said trevor white of john parris on it it would be worth £500 !!

this cue is for sale for £150 in a buffalo leatherette one piece case (these are great and i will have them for sale on mass shortly for £20 on here and £25 on ebay) delivered in the UK. no offers (i am making about £10 on this!), its a steal i promise. it is IMPOSSIBLE to buy a better cue anywhere for less.

I need a new case as my current case is falling apart (the dividers on the inside were badly secured in the first place). It would need to hold my 5/8ths jointed cue with a mini butt and extension, plus some chalks etc. Not sure if I want a leather or ally one tho.. the cue-craft one you have does look nice.

I also want to grab some tips to try. I have only used the BCE blue tip which came with my (fairly cheap) cue .. I suspect it's a fairly hard tip? I'd like to see what a softer tip plays like.

I also want to have a go putting them on myself as it sounds fun. I have your pdf guide to go by and I've seen a few youtube videos which match pretty closely .. and as you say in the guide there are several 'correct' methods, some better than others.

I have a knife but I still need the gel glue, sandpaper/file, and wire wool .. you don't sell any of those do you? You could do with a "beginners tip refitting" pack complete with your guide pdf.

I am thinking to start with pressed tips but can't decide between just getting the big pack of elk masters or going for the mw super tips. On the one hand it would suck to ruin a super tip learning how to fit them, on the other hand it would suck to have to re-fit the tip several times in a short space of time because I got a few bad ones... but I'd get better at it fairly quick that way.

What do you think?

whatever way you do it it will take a few go's to get the idea of fitting a tip well but there is no reason why you can't fit a usable tip first time.
