What is meant by "The joint is 8" from the butt"? It is offered as a 1pc cue.
Are there some more pictures available?
The ones shown on ebay does not provide a good impression of the cue...
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

Still a one piece as such, he just means thats where the original butt was extended from to make the cue longer so a permanent joint, or probably better put that the butts been extended ( a close up photo of this work might be a good idea )

Another way of doing it would have been to make it a 3/4 jointed cue & had a new longer butt made much like Jimmy White's but he must have wanted to keep it a one piece. The position where it was extended from would have been chosen to keep the balance, weight distribution & solid " feel " right I would think.

Interesting really as many makers would have used some splices of different types of wood to extend it, tulip, rosewood maybe but ebony on ebony is ok & sometimes its hard to tell its been extended unless looking closely if the works done well.

Hi, it is a 1 Piece cue. The extenson piece spliced into the butt
of the cue is 8" from the base of the butt. It is difficult to see
because it was done by Hunt & O'Byrne. The grain on the extended
              piece is almost identical.
              Thanks Tony
