I thought the boiled type was not advisable (think even Trevor said so) something about artificial driers added to it which may dry out your cue. Sure the raw type was the one to go for.
This is the one i got on ebay, but plenty of others to choose from

gazza147, if the oil is for your cue, then you need raw linseed oil.

I have Used Raw Linseed many of Times on Cues but was told by Good Friend of mine who is a Top Cabinet Maker and Good Snooker Player that Boiled was better as it Dried faster and it wouldn't damage the cue as he has done it many of Times on his Cue and Looks great and has done for over 15yrs.

Raw Linseed Oil you can Dilute or Warm it up before you Apply and then it takes quite awhile to Dry Unless you wipe access off and Buff, And if you want Darker Shades then Aply more than Once.

Right I would Like to Know all of your Opinions then!.....Raw or Boiled Linseed Oil and How do you all Apply Yours!!

        Cheers Gaz.

What does a bloke at the paint store know, he just sells the stuff?

Think I would use the oil as it is, without making it hot, leave overnight then clean it off. If the cue is new, then it does not need oiling. Mine will never see any oil, unless it ever gets passed on to someone else, then they can do as the like. They are ok as Trev makes them.
