  • Wanted 3/4 Length cue, 16oz, 9.5mm tip

    Hi all,

Im after a cue with the following specs

3/4 length - preferably with joint at 16".
Must be 16oz (would also consider 16.5oz)
    9.5mm tip size

Dont really want to spend any more than £80.

Used only for 8 ball pool, play in local league and a few times a week.

    Can anybody help me.

    Thankyou

Not all you wanted (tip slightly big and one piece) but it's a good cue and would fit your budget: http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board...s-Selected-Cue

With that spec, I think you are going to struggle to get hand spliced cue.

I think willtyson idea of buying a old one piece cue is the best bet. These generally will play well and are better than the cheap hand spliced china cues in your budget.

Take a look at Mikes horace lindrum club cue, Get the cue to craftsman, wright cues or andy travis (any cue maker really) and alter the cue to 9.5mm tip and all in you should only cost you your budget.

PS, a lot of pool players use smaller tips than 9.5mm, if you fancy trying a cue with smaller tip for very little money then I may have just what you after.

80 GBP is a very tight budget. You be lucky to get a decent cue for that amount, dont mind where the joint is and the weight has to be 16oz and so on.
I also suggest a rack cue or perhaps one of those Chinese cues on ebay, then just change the tip size yourself.

And, if you are willing to try slightly different specs ( different weight and if you are willing to try slightly smaller tip) then for £80 this is a fairly good deal: http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board...ighlight=maple

Wow, that is a very nice cue for a very good price imo.
