1. Shake the bottle
2. Put a tiny bit of oil on a piece of paper towel and apply a thin coat on your cue. Rub along the grains.
3. Leave it on for about 15-30 minutes and check for dry spot; apply a bit more especially to the dry spots if there are any.
4. Wait about an hour then wipe off all the excess oil.
5. Leave your cue in a cool place overnight. (e.g. hang it up right before you go to bed)
6. Check to see if there is any oil left on the surface. Sometimes the oil might come out again. If you see that, wipe it off and leave it to dry again.
7. When you feel that your cue is dried, you can get a clean soft towel and buff it up and down along the grain of the wood until the cue is warm to the touch. This buffing really helps the oil to cure.
8. You can build up the finish slowly by repeating this process after about a week.
9. It is not recommended that you apply too much oil on your shaft, as it might build up to a point which could make the shaft feeling sticky. Nevertheless, you can apply your cue oil onto the butt splices only, to give your cue a more glossy finish on the butt.
Note: please be aware that this cue is also a cleanser so if you spill too much oil on the wax seal the silver highlight on the seal might come off. Please try not to get the oil on the wax seal. Please be careful as I cannot be held responisble if you get any silver highlight on your clothes. Thank you.

Just put some oil on my cue and I have wiped it down after the first hour, what I am supprised about is just how much dirt has come off my cue. I regularly clean my cue down but this has really supprised me. It looks good and I will give it a good buff tomorrow, so far so good, it will be nice to get a good shine on this cue.

Hi,
To get a very glossy finish you need to have a very well polished surface to begin with. I would recommend that after you apply a coat, wait for it to dry and then buff it up really well and then wait a few days before your next coat. Do not flood your cue or rush to the next coat.
I usually take many weeks to apply the finish, building it up slowly.
Thank you.
