Pictures were taken when the finish was dried.
It took many coats and many buffing in between plus the butt has to be very smooth to result in a very smooth mirror like finish. I work from 600 all the way to 3000 grits, dry and wet sand.
You can try to wet sand the butt with a bit of the oil to get the surface very smooth.
You can also try to leave the oil on the butt longer before you wipe off the excess, sounds like you might be wiping it off too soon.
Please feel free to send me an email with pictures so I can give you a more detailed reply. Thank you.

That is great, thanks for letting me know. Sometimes postage to Malaysia takes a bit longer than to the UK. Thank you for your patience.:-)

                      Hi,
I think you are getting there. I can see a nice glossy finish starting to show on the ebony splices.
You may want to leave the oil on for a bit longer before you wipe off the excess, and also perhaps buff up a bit more and more often and wait a bit longer before you apply your next coat.
                      Thank you.

Actually I was worry that our custom would not let the oil get through. I might need another bottle of this, do keep me update when you are offering more of your oil. Thanks again!

Hey Airin, can this oil use on maple shaft? What is the effect like on maple anyway?

Yes, it can be used on maple shaft. I use this oil on all my maple cues.
It will clean, feed and protect your maple shaft.
It will give your shaft a nice golden colour with repeated usage.
Just apply the oil, wait for it to dry, and then buff till it is slightly warm to the touch.
Do not apply too much, and wipe off the excess after an hour to two.
Buff often after it is dried.
                              Thank you.
