Aurora cue oil offers a glossy and hard finish that is very difficult to achieve with just raw linseed oil.
It is a special blend of oil that is used on all Aurora cues, not a re-packaged shelf product.
This oil is especially effective in producing a glossy looking finish on butt splices.
Anyway, I have about 20 bottles left.

Hi poolqjunkie, i have a Dunns cue that i was thinking of refinishing. Would i need to sand it down before using your cue oil. Or could i just use this in conjunction with it's current finish. It's not varnished or lacquered.

Hi Hunter, I have never seen a Dunns cue. Even if the cue is not varnished or lacquered if the wood is painted on it may not accept any oil.
Also, it is important that your cue was sanded and polished very well before the oil is applied.
If you sand the cue down yourself I am just a bit worried there is a chance you may remove the paint if there was any.
Normally, if the cue is not painted on and you are confident that you are capable to sand the cue down by yourself without any problem, you can try to sand the cue down to may be 1500 (I go down to 3000 grits for my cues)--once you get the surface smooth, you can apply your choice of cue oil to finish it.
I would suggest that you ask a cue doctor first as I do not really know much about these cues from the Far East and I do not want to give you any misleading or false advice. Hope you can understand.

Thank you both for the reply. I'll e-mail the manufacturer asking about the current finish applied.

Canada Post is having a nationwide strike. There is no postal service. I have all the oils here ready to go but I am very sorry to say that I am not able to post them yet.
To all those who have purchased the Aurora cue oil from me, please accept my sincere apology. The government is talking about forcing the postal workers back to work within this week, may be as early as Wed.
I have tried to drive across the border to the US to post but the custom officers gave me a hard time because these are considered commerical shipment.
If any of you need this urgently and want a refund please send me a PM or an email and I will refund your money right away.
I am very sorry about this and I will post these once the strike is over.
If you have any more question please do not hesitate to contact me.
                      Thank you very much.

I dont know what to make of this whole situation. :-(
We are now a country without postal service.
But the government seems very determined to force them back to work. Hopefully it will end this week.
Once again, I am very sorry.

I just want to let everyone who has ordered know that I will include an 11mm Aurora snooker tip with each bottle of oil ordered as my token of appreciation for your patience, until our postal workers resume service. If you order two bottles you will get two extra tips and so on.
I am so sorry about this whole thing.
Thank you so much for all your patience and understanding.

                                Hi,
                                Thank you very much.
My Paypal is auroracues at aol dot com.
I can offer you 2 Aurora snooker tips with 2 bottles of oil but I cannot ship them to you until the postal workers are back to work, is that okay?
The Aurora cue oil is 10 GBP each. In Canadians I will charge you $15 CDN each, including shipping and you get one Aurora tip with each bottle purchased until the strike is over.
                                Thank you.
