In Asia, these cues go for quite a bit of money. A plain ebony one with number can fetch more than $1500 USD.Last edited by poolqjunkie; 20 June 2011, 05:45 PM.

I was thinking the same , I,ve had or seen cues from a lot of top cuemakers and the finished product has been first class on practically all , neat , precise , clean , etc .
For me the only thing that seperates them is the way they play which is totally subjective .
Some cues do stand out and look real eyecatcheres , but that can be down to the selection and combination and quality of of woods selected , which really stand out , which again can be subjective .
I dont go along with the theory that any cuemaker can make a cue that stands out from the rest or is of different class .

From my experience on this forum and i,m only speaking generic , not all . A lot of people who say one cue or cuemaker is better than the next have not had the opportunity to look at or play with enough cues to make a comparison .
I remember one member swearing by one cuemaker saying they were better than the next bla , bla , but when i asked him what cues he,s owned or tried from other good cuemakers to come to that conclusion , he could,nt answer me .
I think that is the case with a lot of people .
