  • Wanted John Parris Ultimate 812 or 1217

I know it's absolutely stupid, but somehow I just really want these two cues for their numbers, even though I don't have a clue what they are like.

If anyone know anything about these two cues, please let me know.

I'm willing to treat Ding's replica cue (got it from him, made by John Parris) or pay anything up to £800 for either of them.

    yinyufei@hotmail.com

    Cheers!

Any pic of this cue you got from Ding that you could share with us?
What is the story behind it?
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought you can order an Ultimate with your number of choice--even if that number has been used already on another cue.

I got them when I was in Sheffield. There are two of them, made by John Parris for Ding, identical to Ding's Stamford, even the arrows are similar to his, but Ding doesn't really like them.

I was in Parris' shop too, I asked if I can have whatever number I want on the plate, the answer was no.

I think that having them all numbered separately is the only way of tracing them

Why don't you ask JP to see who he sold them to, owners may still have them or at least know where they are

JP keeps records for all the owners of ultimate cues? Cool, thanks for the info.

Why do you want a cue for the number?

812 or 1217 both add up to 11, (adding up each digit) maybe thats his lucky number or something ??

But I have seen the same number used on different JPU cues. May be he allows a customer to reserve a particular number? I am not sure. May be what I saw was fake? LOL

                      Lovely cues.
Have you also tried Ding's actual Stamford cue as well?
Thanks so much for sharing this.

Actually I did, and I also had the privilege to play him for a few frames. I think his cue is stiffer than these two, he also has a Stamford replica which is incredibly beautiful with forward arrows on both sides and a JP Traditional style splice in ebony.
